The institution with the nomenclature of Homoeopathic Stores & Hospital, Lahore was established more than ninety years ago by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi, one of the leading Homoeopaths and pioneers of Homoeopathic System of Medicine in South Asian sub-continent.

Who’s behind the scenes?

Dr. Khalid Masood Qureshi

The youngest son of Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi, who is serving Homoeopathic System of Medicine in Pakistan for the last 50 years. He did his Masters from University of the Punjab, Lahore in the year 1963. Later he was registered as homoeopathic medical practitioner by the Board of Homoeopathic Medical System in 1966. Joined Homoeopathic Stores & Hospital in 1964 as Managing Partner of the firm. Since then, due to his unending efforts and guidance Masood Products have earned fame in the field of Homoeopathy all over the world. He has represented Pakistan in several National & International fora.

In 1989 Dr. Khalid Masood was awarded membership on behalf of Homoeopathic Stores & Hospital of Trade Leaders Club, Madrid, Spain and in the same year Homoeopathic Stores & Hospital was awarded 17th International Trophy for Quality in Paris, France. Under his patronage, several institutions such as, Homoeopathic Trust Hospital and Society of Homoeopaths Pakistan are working for the benefit of ailing humanity and Homoeopathy for five decades. He is also serving as Principal of Pakistan Homoeopathic Medical College. It is due to his efforts that this institution is not only regarded as one of the best Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in Pakistan but also abroad. Furthermore, he is the National Vice President for Pakistan of the LIGA Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis and is also life member of the Asian Homoeopathic Medical League.

Dr. Muhammad Ilyas Masood (Late)

Born in Wazirabad in the early 1920s, Dr Ilyas Masood was the eldest son of Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi. He completed his education from Muslim High School and Islamia College Lahore. He joined the Punjab Muslim Students’ Federation in 1941 and became its general secretary in 1924, under the presidency of Mr. Hameed Nizami (founder/editor of Daily Nawa E Waqt). In 1944 he was appointed as a member of Federations’ working committee.

In 1941 he was awarded as the Best Worker of Punjab Muslim Students’ Federation by Quaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In 1945 he joined his father’s clinic and learnt the knowledge and art of Homoeopathy from Dr. Muhammad Masood. After 20 learning years in 1965 he was allowed by his father to run the clinic independently. After the sad demise of his father, he undertook the role of chairman of Homoeopathic Trust and Principal of Pakistan Homoeopathic Medical College. Dr. Ilyas Masood was the author of over 3 books and many articles on Homoeopathy.

Dr. Ilyas Masood breathed his last in 1985 at the age of 63.

Dr. Muhammad Ilyas Masood (Late)

Dr. Mahboob Alam (Late)

Born in Wazirabad in the late 1920s he was educated at Muslim High School and Islamia College Lahore. he was the second son of Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi. He joined his father’s firm in 1947 and worked as a production manager. He was the sub editor of the monthly Homoeopathic magazine and principal of PHMC from in 1973 till 1985. He also worked as the secretary of the Homoeopathic Trust. He was the author of over 20 books and translations on Homoeopathy and general health.

Dr Mahboob Alam breathed his last at the age of 58 in 1986.

Brief History of Our Company

  • Late 1920s

    Two machines imported from Germany; Single Punch Tableting Machine & Triturating Machine.
  • 1922

    Founded as a Homoeopathic Clinic by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi at 49 Fleming Road, Lahore.
  • 1930

    Monthly Homoeopathic Magazine founded by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi
  • 1935

    Clinic moved to 30 Mayo Road (now known as Allama Iqbal Road)
  • 1935

    Society of Homoeopaths established by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi to raise the voice for Homoeopathy in the Indian Sub-continent for the education of Homoeopaths
  • 1940

    First herbs imported from Germany and England.
  • 1955

    Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical factory established by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi at 30 Allama Iqbal Road
  • 1956

    Homoeopathic Trust established by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi
  • 1958

    Homoeopathic Trust Hospital’s Outdoor Department starts functioning under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi
  • 1960s

    Rotary Tableting machine from England is purchased along with 32 punches machine as well as granulation, mixers and dryers from Germany.
  • 1961

    Pakistan Homoeopathic Medical College is established by Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi
  • 1965

    Dr. Muhammad Masood Qureshi’s hard work pays off when the work done by Society of Homoeopaths Pakistan is recognized by the Pakistani Govt and DHMS is recognized by the Parliament of Pakistan.
  • 1966

    Pakistan Homoeopathic Medical College is recognized by the Government of Pakistan.
  • 1970

    Factory is moved to Quaid E Azam Industrial Estate- Kot lakpat, Lahore
  • 1973

    First exports to Malaysia, Srilanka, Singapore and Bangladesh begin, and the company enters the international market.
  • Early 2000’s

    First ISO certifications.
  • 2013

    Named changed from Homoeopathic Stores and Hospitals to Dr. Masood Homoeopathic Pharmaceuticals.
  • 2015

    Enlistment by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) as a manufacturer of quality Homoeopathic medicines along with the issuance of Enlistment Certificate (00016)
  • 2016

    GMP Certification- the first and only Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical manufacturer in Pakistan to be awarded at that time.
  • 2017

    Awarded certificates of enlistment for Mother Tinctures and Dilutions by DRAP.
  • 2018

    HALAL Certified- The first and only HALAL certified Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical manufacturer in Pakistan.
